I am lucky that people in our apartment complex aren't all up in our faces. I know people who have neighbors like yours. I can imagine how annoying it would be.

By all means sweetheart, if you think that you can do our job better, all the while making less money than most of your janitoral people or garbage collectors, putting our lives on the line everyday, not knowing if we will be coming back to our family or small children at the end of the day, and lets not forget that we work during all holidays...we do not have a 9-5 job. If we have a accident or something happens at the end of our 12 hr shift, we have to stay until it it cleared up and there is no more danger for the rest of community, then we can go home. It is a big misconstrude that we have to meet some kind of quota... because we do NOT have a quota.. We have lives to save, we have communities to protect and serve. Maybe you got a ticket because you were going 20 miles over the speed limit, which in most states that would be considered wreckless endagerment and he could have taken you straight to jail... I bet he was just trying to chap your ass instead of trying to keep not only the people you were indangering with your speeding safe but he was also trying to make sure that you were safe and got back to your family for Christmas also.... hmmm now there is a thought!!

That is a shame... you know, I went into this post thinking I might have to cite some driving fatality statistics or something, but you're right. In this time of recession, the last thing we need to be doing is doling out 30 dollars to Australia everytime someone gets a ticket...

It's hard enough with two people who speak the same language to have a successful relationship these days. Sure it's possible for two people speaking different languages to make it work, but I think unlikely and exponentially difficult with all the added barriers. Might I ask what spurred this question?

Jealousy is rough. I myself am a VERY jealous person. It's hard to contain sometimes, but I'm rather territorial. I think a lot of people are this way.

I have a family member who is a scam-artist, and it's very difficult to be around him never knowing if he is being honest or not, so I can sympathize.

Hi,

I'm curious as to your beginning statement. Do most people make less money at work now that stock market is down?

I am an hourly employee. My boss still pays me the same amount before and after the economy downturn (actually I got a little bit of a raise)

The company I work for is profitable though.

Are most businesses not profitable and are paying employees less.

Just curious
