saving money after the holidays over

Published by jzbrynn at 1:38 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

On the past two weeks, I was glad that I only work 3 days a week for 2 weeks in a row. Because of Christmas was on Thursday, and New Year was also on Thursday. I got to have two extra days for the long weekend. For these long weekends, I tended to go out a lot more often, because of the Holiday weekends. My friends and I went out for dinner, and shop a lot. I guess that I couldn’t resist the discount price for the holidays. I was shopping more on the electronic stuff, especially computer accessories and audio accessories.

The day after Christmas, I purchased a brand new laptop, which costed me $740. Because I desperately need a new laptop for the year 2009, so I just couldn’t help myself, and run straight to the store, and get it myself. It was my wish list right before the Christmas. On New year day, I went to get my new digital camera, and a new Sony DVD player. All these items cost me a lot of money. Also, before the Christmas, I was fined by a speeding ticket. The price I haven’t known yet. Hopefully, it would be lenient on it.

I might need to cut back on my expenses for the year 2009 to come. Because I have save extra money, and I need to achieve on this goal. I have 2 credit cards debt to pay, and a personal loan to pay. There were more than I can handle, otherwise, I have to file a bankruptcy. If I tend to eat out more than once a week, I have to make it to once a month. If I drink beer daily, I have cut it back to not drink at all. It is my personal resolution for the year 2009. Saving money for the economic downturn, having an extra bucks in your pocket is a safe play.
