Some Latinos were desperately for money

Published by jzbrynn at 8:19 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Recently I saw a movie called “ESL”. It was about an illegal immigrant cross the border all the way from Mexico to California. His only hope is that he can make some money back home to provide his family. Everyday morning, he stand around the convenience store in hope someone will hire him do some temporary jobs. In contrast, it wasn’t that easy to make a living here. He was allured to work at a male - strip club. Even though it is not what he wanted, that’s the only way to make a lot of cash in a short time. At the end, it was miserable, but he learns about friendship from his fellow ESL class. Sometimes, money wasn’t the only way to make you live a perfect life.

I knew some Latinas have a similar case. They came all the way here, without a valid identification, it is too hard for them to find a job in the states. Especially Immigration law so tightly toward these people. In day time, they might find a maid job, such as cleaning office building; cooking for residences, and also perform household cleaning. They said that they only got minimal wage, not enough to pay for rent, utility bills and other miscellaneous expenses.

Some younger girls, other than the daytime job, they also dance for money in some Mexican clubs at night. The market is targeting on drunk and desperate Mexican men. These men came all the way to the States looking for job, left behind their women at home. They were always lonely. They will pay extra bucks to have a beautiful young lady dance with them while enjoying their beers. It was a profitable market for these young girls who need extra cash on their pocket. They might make more than $500 a night just performing dance a song. Nothing erotic, but just dance with these unknown customers who come and go.

To my opinion, they don’t have to do such things like this. What would you think of if their mothers knew their daughters dance with a dozen of men to earn money? Why not work harder, and go to school learn English. Wait for an opportunity to find a way to achieve your dream. Somehow, people just want easy money, but they never thought of their future.
