For green card or for love?

Published by jzbrynn at 5:19 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

Lately, I had read a newspaper classified sections, some Asian Women, especially Chinese, were seeking marriage with U.S. citizens. They are young, and educated, beautiful so on and on, that’s what they claimed they are look like. I was pondering, even some people respond to this ad, how long they will stay together? Sounds more like a deal than a love match. Would some people willing to do it? Or maybe some older people might respond to it, and how those women gonna react. In words, they were seeking marriage, in reality, they were seeking Green Card, a permanent resident status, so they can stay. In order to do so, they have to sacrifice their happiness at least once. How desperate these women are.

My father working for a supermarket market, at the produce department. A co - worker of his was a 60 years old man, he lost his wife a couple years ago, and he was in need of another spouse. On an occasion, he went to China for vacation, and the local agency hook him up with a younger Chinese lady, who was 26 years then. They both agreed to get married then, and he willing to apply her over to the States. After all the documents were processed, and the paperwork was set. She got her paper to come over to the States. They were interviewed at the Local Immigration office for further questioning. They still need to wait for a period of time to get her green card I guess. 4 months later, another co - worker told my father that his wife disappear one day, and she took her belongings and gone. What a big surprise for this old man. After all the effort was done, she just bailed out like that. Not even a goodbye, a letter whatsoever. HEARTBROKEN for him, that’s what I can said.

There were numerous examples I heard over my friends, they always have someone on speed dating, and speed marriage, after a period of time, or so. Or they got their green cards, they just disappear, or file a divorce base on some irrational excuse. So, when you see one of those ads, beware, not fall for those idiotic deal.
